Executive Chairman: Sello Mashao


Currently, the Chairman of Xpanse Investments, Sello is involved in the maritime infrastructure and logistics industry through various investments. He is Chairman of the Lobbying Corporation of South Africa and Vice President for State Owned Enterprises and Government in the African Entrepreneurs Council (AEC). In September 2016, he was elected as Chairman of the Black Business Council (BBC). He serves as an Executive committee member of the National Economic Development and Labour Council (NEDLAC) and serves on its Public Finance and Monetary Policy Chamber and its Audit and Risk Committee including the Finance Committee. Sello contributed to the finalization of the Black Economic Empowerment Commission Report (BEECOM).


Sello is the chairman of the Board of directors of SITES-AFLA, a local company with global expertise in monitoring the health of Civil Infrastructure. SITES-AFLA ‘s expertise and services include structural assessment engineering, inspections, geometrical surveys, instrumentation, further investigations through nondestructive testing as well as the implementation of asset management system and digital tools.


Sello is also the Chairman of the Financial Services Working Group, South African BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Business Council. He is a member of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Advisory Board and chairs its Policy and Governance Subcommittee. Rasethaba has served as former director of Lexmark International South Africaa. He was the inaugural chairman of the board of directors of the government’s IT procurement arm, State Information Technology Agency (SITA) from 1999 to May 2002. He was chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi South Africa from 2002 until 2011. He chaired Transnet Tender Board for three years. He has been a board member of various entities including Northwest Transport, Gauteng Gambling Board, and the National Horseracing Authority.


He is a Commander in the South African Navy (Reserves) “with a passion for defense imperatives and who is prepared to unselfishly give himself to the South African National Defence Force.” He retired as the Executive Director of both Palfinger and Mediterranean Shipping Company’s (MSC) logistics and depots companies.

Director: Julius Siyabonga Maclean


Siyabonga Maclean holds a National Diploma in Financial Information Systems and is currently studying towards his CIMA (Equivalent to CA) qualification.

Maclean’s experience includes:

  • Arivia.Kom – Management Accountant in 2005
  • Siyabonga is also the co-founder, shareholder and Director of Khauleza IT Solutions (Pty) Ltd

Matshwane Rasethaba


Matshwane Rasethaba is the Project Manager responsible for a number of projects at Xpanse. He has extensive experience in the plumbing sector, transport and logistics, manufacturing and property development.


He founded Matodzi Plumbing Services in 2000 focusing predominantly on long-term plumbing contracting within the housing development sector, office blocks as well as manufacturing facilities.  Matshwane sits on the board of Handson Maintenance Services and Rasethaba Plumbing Services also a trustee of G20 Young Entrepreneur South Africa.
